Plein Air in Oils Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, Painting Big Skies 27th June 9.30-4.00 £85

£85.00

Places are limited to 8

Our Meeting point is The Nature Reserve car park 9.15/30

If you have never painted outside before or have had some experience and need to build your confidence why not let me guide you through the process.

There is no better feeling than responding directly to the landscape before you, and as long as you’re equipped with the right painting gear and the right clothes for the changing weather you’ll find this painting experience more exciting than any you have tried before.

Our Rye harbour nature reserve day will focus on the larger landscape of big skies across the harbour, which may include the iconic Red Roofed hut or the Mary Stanford and Fairlight beyond.

Easels can be provided but you will need your own paints and brushes. See additional info for more details about materials. If you’re local to Rye Artwrite supplies everything on the list.

Don’t forget Hat, suncream, extra layers, water, pack lunch

Places limited to 8

If the weather is too bad I will re-schedule or offer a re-fund if you can not attend the new date

Materials for plein air painting workshops.

Easel

You’ll need an easel if you’re standing to paint. There are a few options, a Field easel is the cheapest option but you’ll need a small foldaway table to put your materials on , then there is the French half box which is very good and stable and plenty of space for materials , a pochade box which sits on a camera tripod which is also perfect. Chat to me if need help with this as I do have some spare easels that can be borrowed for the day.

I am very happy for you to bring materials you already have as long as you use this list as a rough guide. Artwrite in Rye has a good stock of materials or you can buy them online.via the links I have added.
