Plein Air in Oils Camber, Seascapes & Dunes Friday 18th July 9.30-4.00 £85
Our Meeting point is The Kit Kat cafe Camber 9.15/30
If you have never painted outside before or have had some experience and need to build your confidence why not let me guide you through the process.
There is no better feeling than responding directly to the landscape before you, and as long as you’re equipped with the right painting gear and the right clothes for the changing weather you’ll find this painting experience more exciting than any you have tried before.
Our Camber day will focus on describing the beautiful pathways through the dunes and the seascape beyond. The area around the Kit Kat cafe is interesting as is the cafe itself to use as a subject within of a classic British seaside setting.
Places limited to 8
Easels can be provided but you will need your own paints and brushes. See additional info for more details about materials. If you’re local to Rye Artwrite supplies everything thats on the list.
If the weather is too bad I will re-schedule or offer a refund if you can not attend the new date.
Don’t forget Hat, suncream, extra layers, water, pack lunch!
Materials and equipment for plein air painting workshops
Outdoor easel
You’ll need an easel if you’re standing to paint. There are a few options, a Field easel is the cheapest option but you’ll need a small foldaway table to put your materials on , then there is the French half box which is very good and stable and plenty of space for materials , a pochade box which sits on a camera tripod which is also perfect. Chat to me if need help with this as I do have some spare easels that can be borrowed for the day.
