Winter Moods are small collection I have chosen that best represent my winter painting . During January I tried to paint outside as much as possible as part of a challenge for artists globally called The Strada Easel challenge. I did survive all 31 days although had to resort to studio still life on a few occasions ! I was incredibly lucky to get away for a week of winter sun at the end of January and have included some of those more exotic paintings in the mix.

I painted this stormy Rye scene at my favourite spot on the Camber road from the car. It’s painted on a canvas board which has a nice texture to it and I found the paint could be layered on in an interesting way.
